1.What convinced you to go through the LASIK/LASEK surgery?
And what reasons and why did you choose Dream Eye Clinic?
I had been wearing contacts and glasses for 13years, and my eye sight was the worse I knew of out of all my family and friends. Having bad eyesight was difficult when I wanted to travel, which I do a lot. When I travel I am usually sleeping in some bamboo hut along a river in the countryside of Laos or something similar. Having Lasek eye surgery is going to allow me to have all the freedom I want when I travel. This is the main reason why I chose to go through with the process.
Once I had the consultation I was 100% assured that Korea was the best place to have this done. Compared to the price of the surgery back home in New Zealand it was a steal! I chose Dream Eye Care because they were professional, helpful, humorous and most of all comforting.
2.Tell us about what has changed since you had your LASIK / LASEK surgery.
What are the major changes comparing your life before and after the surgery?
The main change has been that I don't feel as tired as I did before, and I never have dry irritated eyes. Whenever my eyes felt tired before I would feel tired too. But now my eyes only get tired when I do!
I also have the freedom of not having to plan to stay somewhere for the night and I don't have to take my contact lens items with me everywhere, that was a pain.
3.Were there any inconveniences during the recovery process?
And tell us about how satisfied you are with your newly improved vision.
The only inconvenience was the obvious and unavoidable one. Recovery. It was all totally worth it, and I would do it all again if I had too, which I probably won't. My eye sight is the best it has ever been. It is the money and best thing I have ever done to improve my quality of life.
4.What were the most valuable and memorable experiences at Dream Eye Clinic?
The most memorable thing I will take from Dream Eye Care is the excellent staff. Helpful and accommodating. I am a terrible patient but they worked with me, and we had an excellent outcome. Also the time that was spent helping me understand the process I am grateful for.
5.Finally, what else do you want to tell us (our medical staffs, doctors, and nurses)? (Anything is OK including some of your wishes, advice, or concerns that may help us improve ourselves, our service.)
I was thinking that maybe you could sell sunglasses at the clinic. Just cheap ones, so if we can't find a place to buy any there are some available all year round. I had my surgery done in winter, and no shops were selling sunglasses! I had to use my friends. The staff are great. I think that my doctor needs a holiday and a cake for being so cool!
Thank you for changing my life. Katrina
