From the initial consultation to the post-surgery check-ups, the doctors and staff at Dream Eye Center in Myeongdong are truly accomodating, professional, and reassuring. For foreigners in Korea who are not fluent in Korean, it is much more comfortable to have laser eye surgery done at an English-speaking clinic.
During the free two-hour consultation there were dozens of eye tests performed. The doctor explained what each test was for and whether my results qualified me for the surgery. She gave an in-depth explanation of the procedure and how to care for my eyes after surgery. She answered all of my questions sincerely and thoroughly.
I chose Wavefront LASEK. Although it only takes 5 minutes per eye to complete the surgery, it is understandable that patients might feel scared or overwhelmed. However, the doctor continually reassured me and even explained each step as he was doing it - again, the benefit of having an English-speaking doctor.
The cost of LASIK or LASEK includes all the eye drops and check-ups for post-surgery. No more than one month later, my vision was 20/20. When I go the clinic for a check-up, everyone is still just as welcoming as the first time I visited, and the same doctor who performed my surgery checks my eyes. I am very satisfied with my experience, and strongly encourage anyone who is considering laser eye surgery to visit Dream Eye Center.
