I had a great experience overall with Dream Eye Center and the laser surgery! The doctor and staff were very polite and friendly. They answered every question and concern I had. They were also very proactive with follow-up visits and check-ups. They wanted to make sure my experience was a good one and it was (other than the pain!)
The only bad (but expected) part about the process was within an hour after the surgery I had quite a bit of pain which lasted for about one week. I brought someone with me to help me home, which turned out to be important since I had trouble getting around. I also made sure I was able to sleep as soon as possible.
I would recommend taking a few days off work if possible during the first week of recovery and avoid situations in which you might need to use a computer or read for a long period of time. If you get bored laying down and resting in the days after the recovery I would get a book on tape to listen to ahead of time. Also be sure to use the eye drops and medication you are provided since this prevents any complications and also helps with the recovery time.
