I often wondered about the probability of going blind when having Lasik surgery. Would I be the unlucky 1 millionth customer served – the one whose surgery unfortunately was not a success? Still, I wanted to see if I at least qualified for the procedure, so I sought out a location.
My friend recommended Dream Eye Center in Myeongdong. From the time I walked through the door until the days of my follow up appointments, the Dream staff was very helpful. The ladies at the reception desk always looked happy to see me and invited me in as if I were in their home.
I was assigned to a very fluent English speaking counselor, Moon Joo. We talked and joked around as if we had known each other forever. She explained each step of my preliminary diagnostics and told me what to expect during the surgical procedure.
The day of my surgery finally came. Since the staff was nice enough to move my surgery day up, I was unable to find a friend to accompany me at such short notice. Only a friend to pick me up after the procedure was available. It didn’t matter though, because Mi Hee held my hand during the whole process, which was something I didn’t know I would need. I was also grateful that Dr. Hu talked to me as he performed each step, allowing me to know what to expect.
Now my vision is better than perfect. People worry about the possible side effects they have heard about. I can assure you that possible night glare or eye dryness for a short time is a minor payment for being able to go to bed without having to remove contacts first, or not having to purchase high end prescription sunglasses for your days at the beach. Besides, I had night glare with my contacts anyway!
I would recommend Dream Eye Center to anyone. The professionalism is optimal, the results impeccable. You may even wonder why you took so long to make such a phenomenal change. Now if I can just figure out what to do with all of my unused eye wear…
