My history:
First of all I had nearsightedness and mild astigmatism. My vision wasn't very bad but still enough to need glasses to see far. Except that I rarely used glasses. Never got accustomed to them as my vision detoriated on my 20s. The main reason why I choose to take a laser eye surgery was that I spend a fair share of my time working with a computer and as I didn't need glasses with computer it feld a nuisance to take them off and on all the time (imagine a lecture where you take notes and also have to look far). I also snowboard almost every weekend in the winter and glasses don't really fit inside goggles and wide vision would be compromised anyway. Same story with occassional skydiving etc. extreme sports where you need to see far, clearly and fast.
M-LASEK success:
The LASEK was the best option for me as I do many sports and use a lot of computer. It may take some time to recover but my eye surgery was done right before my summer holidays to allow enough recovery time.
The opretion itself was exciting and I feld a bit nervous like people usually do on similar occasions. There was only a mild sensation on the eyes during the operation and it finished very quickly and well worth it. So don't expect it to be totally painless but just try to relax and it will be over in no time.
I have had zero complications - none at all - so I am sure my doctor and his crew did a fantastic job.
Recovery:
For the first week it is pretty hard to see any text from close distance (especially a computer monitor which has to do with bright light also). For the three days or so my eyes feld quite sore, but after that they feld like they usually do. For the first two or three weeks the eyes got tired pretty easily and was a bit hard to see especially in a boring lecture from 4pm-7pm. After a month my far sight is pretty awesome and I feel that I can see pretty much everything. I have no problem at nighttime or anytime. Very bright sunlight is of course irritating but one should wear sunglasses anyway on a bright day. Everything looks very beautiful now.
Bottom line:
The guality price ratio is going to be the best you are going to find anywhere in the world. Thanks for the whole crew at the Gangnam Dream Eye Center.
