On a whim I decided to look into having my eyes fixed up. After my initial appointment with the Dream Eye Center, I felt so comfortable and assured about my decision that I booked an appointment for just a couple weeks later.
The morning of the surgery, of course I was a bit nervous, but the staff couldn't have been more encouraging and supportive. I was impressed with how they explained everything in detail before and during the operation. There were absolutely no surprises. They also allowed my boyfriend to go through every step (he even got to watch the surgery) with me. Prep took just over an hour but the surgery was no more than 10 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of relaxing.
When it was time to leave, I felt great! Once I got outside the sun caused a bit of discomfort, so definitely have a hat and sunglasses and tissues ready. After just 3 hours, though, any sort of discomfort was gone! And every morning (and evening) I'm thankful that I don't have to mess with dirty contacts.
I definitely recommend this for everyone. The staff is some of the nicest people you will ever meet, the surgery has advanced so much that it really isn't scary, and the price is good and well worth it.
