I've had an M-Lasek, Wavefront surgery at Myung Dong's Dream Eye Clinic in December 2008 just before Christmas.
I always disliked wearing glasses because I thought I look much better without glasses on�and also wearing glasses limited my ability to participate in sports activities that I liked.
Besides, I was about to join the ROK (Republic of Korea) Army. (I'm still waiting to join the Army in May.) I didn't want to be wearing glasses when I am training in a boot camp. So I've decided to get a Lasik surgery. Once I decided to get a surgery, I actively began to search for a good eye clinic. And one of my friends, who's a native English teacher from the United States (like me) recommended me this place (Myung-Dong's Dream Eye Clinic)because he got his surgery done here and one of his female co-workers also got her surgery done here at Myung-Dong's Dream Eye Clinic. And the results are very satisfactory, he said. He said his vision are both 20-20. He particularly mentioned one of the Dream Eye Clinic's staff can speak fluent English. And it's related to Catholic Medical institution.
Since I'm from California and English is my native language, I felt at ease to go to Myung Dong's Dream Eye Clinic.� Furthermore, I'm a Roman Catholic, so I wanted to get my surgery done by fellow Catholic doctors and nurses.
I went to the Dream Eye Clinic.� Everyone was very friendly and I went through many different tests and a doctor told me that my eye condition is good for M-Lasek, Wavefront surgery.� I trusted his decision and so we set up a date for surgery which was the very next day.
On the operation day, I asked the doctor and the nurse to pray for me before my surgery. And I was holding my Rosary to pray to Jesus Christ and Mary to be with me in my presence when I am going through my surgery. I was a little bit scared.� I'm not going to lie about that. However, the doctor told me that I was cooperating very well during the surgery and that the surgery was very successful. I was very happy to hear that comment and excited to see the world without wearing glasses.
Ever since the surgery, I've visited the Dream Eye Clinic for regular check up.� Actually I've visited there a lot more than necessary regular check-ups because my right eye's vision has been unstable. However, every time I visited the Dream Eye Clinic for this particular concern, Dr. Jeong Choong-Ki and Miss Kim Moon-Ju explained to me kindly in good detail what I am supposed to do and that I don't need to worry about my right eye's vision too much.
My eyes are still in the recovery process. However, I have complete faith that my vision will be VERY GOOD!�� Dream Eye Clinic really takes good care of its patients.� Its service has been fabulous! It couldn't have been better. So I believe that it has lived up to its ideal goal to take care of every patient accordingly.
