I had LASIK surgery done at the Dream Eye Center in Myeongdong in February of 2010. It was a great experience! All of the staff is extremely caring and professional. They realize that it might be a little scary for a foreigner to have surgery overseas, so they really take care of you. Most of the staff speaks amazing English too! I never felt uncomfortable or like there was a language barrier.
The Dream Eye Center is clean and state of the art. They have the latest technology and machines. The morning after the surgery I had no discomfort and could see perfectly! I now have vision that is better than 20/20. I’ve always been interested in LASIK, and now I’m so glad that I finally had it!
My husband hates having anything in his eyes. He refuses to wear contacts. Before my surgery, he said there is no way he could ever get surgery on his eyeballs! After watching my surgery (they have a video camera that enables you to watch the surgery close up on a TV) my husband changed his mind. He watched and realized that it’s extremely quick (5 minutes for each eye) and pain free (your cornea doesn’t have nerves). This month he got the surgery too! He only wears his glasses for reading and driving, but it was still worth it!
We love the Dream Eye Center and recommend them to anyone who is getting LASIK or LASEK in Korea! Even if you’re just considering it, you should go in for a free consultation and check it out!
