Liz Foster
Like most Lasek patients I was tired of wearing contact lenses and glasses. Simple things like going for a swim, camping or being outdoors during yellow dust season were uncomfortable or a hassle.
The high praise from so many foreigners made Dream Eye Center the best choice.
The staff are friendly and helpful, wanting to make your surgery experience as pleasant and problem free as possible.
It has been one month since my surgery and I cant believe how fast the healing time was and the clarity of sight.
I have a few aftercare tips for prospective patients:
If you can, try to take 5 days off after your surgery. In those days you might be tired with blurry vision/ light sensitivity.Being able to rest at home makes the recovery easier.
Pack a hat with a big brim and sunglasses for the day after the surgery to help block out as much light as possible.
Drink more water than you normally would (3 liters is good). Staying hydrated helped alleviate the dreaded dry and crusty eyes.
Have more pain pills ready at home. I needed pain pills for 4 days after surgery and was glad I did not need to go out to get them.
Load up your mp3 player with audiobooks. After Lasek surgery reading or watching tv is not pleasant or even possible. When you are awake having an audiobook to listen to is a good way to pass the time.
If you can , darken your bedroom before you have the surgery. I draped extra sheets/blankets over my windows to block out the light and make the room as dim as possible. (Light sensitivity gave me headaches.)
I want to thank the staff at the Gangnam clinic. Having eye surgery is a scary thing but your professional manner made me rest easy.
Dream Eye Clinic is recommended by so many foreigners because they really are a great choice.
