I've had to wear glasses since before I can remember, so being able to wake up and see without fumbling around for my glasses has always been a dream of mine. My eyesight was very bad, which lead to me getting hard contacts. They were an improvement over glasses but very painful when they became dry.
I didn't know much about laser eye surgery; I thought it would be very expensive and risky. But when a Korean friend of mine recommended Dream Eye Center, I went there to find out more information. The first time I went in, I was so impressed with the staff and the facilities. Mr. Choo and everyone else was very kind and helpful in explaining everything. Upon arriving, you have to go through many thorough tests to determine what surgery you are eligible for. I felt that everything was very professional. After my tests, Mr. Choo said that I could have the surgery the next week!
The surgery was a bit painful and scary, but it is over very quickly, and the doctors and nurses do their best to make you not worried. Afterwards, I had to wait at home in the dark without looking at anything for 4 days, but after they took off the protective contact lenses, I could see! My eyesight has been improving over 2 months and now I have better than 20/20 vision. I can't thank the staff of Dream Eye Center enough; I never thought that I would leave Korea without glasses. It's been a dream come true!
