Several years ago, my optometrist told me that I wasn't a good candidate for LASIK due to my high astigmatism. I gave up on the idea until I came to Korea, and realized that the technology was advanced and the price was more affordable.
I decided to go with wavefront micro LASIK based on the doctor's suggestion. He walked me through the procedure before the surgery, and talked me through every step during it. I never felt a lack of communication
I live in Yeongwol, which is several hours away from Seoul. Dream Eye reserved a room for me at the Prince Hotel, free of charge, on the night of my surgery. Everyone in the office was very friendly and welcoming - they even held my overnight bag so I could go shopping the day of my consultation!
There was slight discomfort immediately following the surgery, and my eyes did feel dry the next day. That cleared up within three days, and my comfort level continues to improve. I am now one month post-surgery, and I only feel dry eyes when I have been up late or when I wake up in the morning. These are normal symptoms for the 6 months following surgery.
Most importantly - I can see! It was so easy, and so quick. The best decision I have made in Korea. Now I'm looking forward to a summer vacation in Mongolia where I don't have to bring contact cases, saline solution and glasses!
