I had been thinking of getting laser surgery for some time before I came to Korea. Following the testimony of a previous patient I looked up Dream Eye Center for information about getting my eyes done.
I had been wearing contact lenses for seven years and was really looking forward to breaking free from them.
My main concerns where of course price and safety. The price issue was instantly obvious. The price I paid here at Dream Eye Center was 800 EUR (1050 USD) more expensive in Europe.
As for safety, Dream Eye Center was quick to make me feel comfortable about it. The clinic was good and the staff very professional. The fact that I don’t speak Korean was comforted that they all spoke English.
I opted for Lasek and I could already see good enough to not need contacts as soon as I stepped of the operating table. The operation took only 15 minutes.
The intervention did however confine me to bed for the next couple days due to pain and discomfort. However after a few days it was quite a change to be able to see without optical aid. Although my eyes would tire quicker at first, especially working on a computer, they eventually got better and I can now see perfectly.
In summary, I consider that the price paid for this operation was a very good investment.
