1 .What convinced you to go through the Lasik/Lasek surgery? And what made you to choose Dream Eye Clinic?
I decided to have LASEK surgery because I play a lot of sports and got fed up dealing with contact lenses. They were a pain to put in, they ripped too easily, and they were getting expensive. I chose Dream Eye Clinic after reading reviews about it on an online discussion board, where a number of other foreigners had mentioned that they were very pleased with the staff and the results of their procedures. After an initial visit, my wife and I both immediately felt comfortable and sure that Dream Eye Clinic was a professional establishment, and we both felt it was a good choice for us. Also, knowing that a number of Korean celebrities have had procedures done there helped us feel confident, knowing that celebrities wouldn't trust 'just anyone' to do their procedures.
2. Tell us about what has changed since you had your Lasik / Lasek surgery. What are the major changes comparing your life before and after the surgery?
The biggest change is with regards to sports. It's such a joy not to have to plan an extra ½ hour of wrestling with my contacts before leaving the apartment to play sports. Not to mention, while playing, I don't have to worry about a grain of sand ruining my concentration or a lens popping out. Also, I'd forgotten what it was like to go swimming and actually see everyone in the pool again. I hadn't thought about that prior to the procedure, but it was a nice bonus.
3. Were there any inconveniences during the recovery process? And tell us about how satisfied you are with your newly improved vision.
The only 'inconvenience' was the pain of the recovery, which lasted for about one day. It wasn't unbearable pain, but the fact that it went on all day, and without the ability to read, watch TV, or surf the Internet to distract myself, it was all I could think about. I knew having LASEK would mean my vision would be impaired for about a week or so, thus I had the surgery during a time when I didn't have to work. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the results. I sometimes have a little trouble seeing in dim light, but I honestly can't remember how good my vision was with glasses in the same situations. I don't see halos at night (like some people have reported), though I had them during the recovery process.
4. What were the most valuable and rememberable experiences at Dream Eye Clinic?
I don't know if I have any particularly 'memorable' experiences from the Dream Eye Clinic. I felt the staff were all very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and professional. Perhaps because I had the LASEK procedure, I didn't have the same experience of being able to see right away that people who have LASIK experience.
5. Finally, what else do you want to tell us (our medical staffs, doctors, and nurses)? (Anything is OK including some of your wishes that may inform us to improve ourselves.)
I don't think there's anything that Dream Eye Clinic needs to improve. As previously mentioned, I feel everyone was more than qualified and very friendly. Perhaps one of the most impressive things for me, was when my doctor called during the evening after my surgery to check on my progress and to answer any questions that I might have. I certainly hadn't expected that, and it indicated to me that the doctors and staff of Dream Eye Clinic truly care about their patients
