I’m 25 years old and I’ve worn glasses since I was 4 years old. I hated wearing glasses. I heard Korea was the place to get the surgery done at a good price so I did a little research.
Dream Eye Care Center was perfect! At first I was pretty nervous about getting eye surgery done in Korea, but I got over that the minute I walked in their office. The technicians and doctors are so professional and helpful. They are fluent in English and thoroughly explain all of their procedures with no absolutely pressure to go into the operating room. What shocked me was the amount of procedures they performed and that they adhere to stricter standards that the United States. They’re extremely flexible with appointments and scheduling; my job is a bit unpredictable at times but they were always able to accommodate my busy schedule. Susan is awesome!
I opted to have the M-Lasek with wavefront. Going into the surgery I had astigmatism. Dr. Lee performed my surgery; I was in and out of the operating room in about 10 minutes. After the surgery, I was placed in recovery room for about 20 minutes and then I was free to head home. I was back to work in about 3 days.
The day after the surgery, everything was blurry and my eyes were very irritated. It felt like there was an eyelash or grain of sand in my eye that I could not get out. I was pretty nervous at this point, but I was told to expect this the first few days following the surgery. With each passing day, the irritation lessened a little and my vision got just a little better. I did have to use A LOT of eye drops though.
Currently, I am about 4 months after surgery and I have 20/16 vision. I see better now than I did with my old glasses. I am experiencing life through a new set of eyes because I was never able to see like I am now. Since my operations I have gone scuba diving, snorkeling, and I’ve flown to other countries without any sort of complication.
I can honestly say that this is one the best decisions I ever made. I recommend Dream Eye Care Center to ANYONE and EVERYONE who is interested in having perfect vision. They are the best hands down.
